I had my IIe enhanced in July, 1985. The kit consisting of three chips
and a new CPU. The original 6502 was replaced with a 65C02. The cost was
$55 (however I did get a $10 rebate). The only outward appearance change
was a small enhanced sticker that was placed over the power on light on
the lower left side of the keyboard.
