If you were familiar enough with your IDE card, you'd probably be
able to "somehow" partition and format your harddisk (you partition
first, the you format each partition -- you cannot do it the other
way around).  But then you'll face another problem: to find an OS for
the Apple II which supports your 110MB harddisk.  CP/M-80 could
barely make it: each CP/M-80 partition can be max 8 MBytes, and there
can be up tp 16 logical disk volumes in CP/M-80, thus CP/M-80 can in
principle use a disk of up to 16*8 = 128 MBytes...
