Er, assuming that the Applecolor Composite Monitor in question is an NTSC
model, it *does* have a tint control.

It's been a while since I've dealt with one, but behind the door under the
front of the monitor there are knobs for brightness, contrast, color, and
tint, and a push-button to force the monitor into monochrome mode.

I don't remember which is which, but there are two knobs marked with icons
that show three dots in a triangular pattern.  One is the tint, the other
is the color.

That's a nice monitor.  I wish I had one for my ][e instead of my green
Monitor ][.  Although I do rather like the tilt-screen and antireflective
back-coating on the Monitor ][, both features missing from the composite
color monitor.  The one problem I have seen with many of those monitors is
that a lot of them shipped with the wrong fuse installed...but if it
hasn't blown by now and been replaced with the correct rating, I doubt
you'll have any trouble with it.
