Hello all.
I figured that it was high time I make a backup of my childhood
computer memories, and I need your advice. I'm planning on transferring
my entire Apple IIGS library -- something ungodly, like 500-1000 disks -
- to a medium that's more stable than a floppy. I'm probably going to
go with Bernie ][ and buy a low-end PowerPC... but:
How do I build disk images and get them over to another machine? I have
a 400MB SCSI drive on my IIGS. I'd love to find a cheap/easy way to
dump ALL of those disks to disk image files, then transfer them to a
place where I can just burn a CD of everything.
Do I have to use a Mac as the middleman? Is there any software I can
turn to?
Please let me know -- I'm going back to the States for a month, and
backing up my library is my number-one goal. Thanks so much!
