No.  The IIgs supports a composite monitor, or an RGB monitor which
operates at the same scan frequencies as a television (in particular,
the horizontal scan frequency is about 15.7 kHz).

The LC uses a high resolution RGB monitor that has a horizontal scan
frequency of at least 30 kHz.  These monitors cannot synchronize with
the video signal produced by the IIgs, and the IIgs monitor can't scan
fast enough to keep up with the LC.

The ports are electrically compatible, but the frequency of the video
signal prevents the monitors from working on the wrong machine.
