Oh, one other idea I thought I should mention. Even though certain early
macs have no internal expansion slots, most, even all have 30pin SIMM slots.
I know what you are thinking.. "Hey, that's nice if you only want extra
ram", but I came across the coolest site last week. These people are putting
decked out computers on 30pin simm boards. CPU, ram, flash for storage...
the one I saw even had an ethernet port and vga lcd driver. Would require
one heck of a software kludge to use a peripheal like this, not to mention
probably limiting the max amount of ram. Heck, would still have to chop the
case even... but just an idea.
Thanks,
John Oyler
