Re: Terminal Software on 5.25 floppy

ADT is probably the quickest way to get communications software onto your IIe.
It can be installed over a null modem cable without any special software, just
DOS3.3. (In essence, you tell the IIe to obtain input from the SSC instead
of the keyboard. The PC then transfers a set of commands, and the program.)
I think the file which you are looking for is:

  ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/pub/apple2/Emulators/Adt122.zip

With respect to communications software, I suggest Kermit (because, while it
is slow and difficult to use, it has never failed, and it is free). That can
be found at:

  ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/images/utility/communications/kermit_protocol.dsk.gz

Some quick tips for Kermit:
  - use the setup software first, it will work better ;)
  - after launching kermit, type CONNECT to test the connection
  - <ctrl>-<@> followed by <c> gets the kermit prompt
  - "receive" receives a file
  - "send" sends a file

And good luck!
Byron.
