Nothing weird about it: I see you are in Australia, so what you have is
the standard layout for the international version of the original IIe
motherboard (with 50 Hz PAL video and probably an English keyboard with
the UK Pound symbol on shift-3 instead of the US Pound/Hash symbol).  We
had the same model in New Zealand.

In fact, I've never seen a IIe with the auxiliary slot in the lower left
corner of the motherboard, apart from in pictures, since that layout is
only used in the US (NTSC) model.
