I have no idea what the program could have been, but you should be able to
just transfer it to the Mac without any conversion.

Yes, quite true.  The only trouble that I've had is going from mac text files
to Apple II text files.  The other way around is no problem.  Just dragged the
icon off of the ProDOS disk and place it on a mac one.  You're done!  Yes, the
same works for Apple II text files to IBM disks, as I converted for a
firestation a few months back.
