To clarify, on occasion, while traveling through Hyperspace, you'd get
get pulled out by ...  the Nasties.  On the //e, you'd fight it out
with them.  On the GS, control was impossible and you'd always get
slaughtered.  This was on a ROM 1 Woz Special.  At least that's what I
remember from the late '80s.
