ProType doesn't remove resource forks. Actually, ProType doesn't do much
at all. I think all it does is recognize files ending with .SYS, .TXT,
.SHK, and whatever else it said in the readme file and change the file
types to the equivelent ProDOS file types.
Personally, I used ProType once and didn't like it. A better program to
use is ProDOSifier, an AppleScript program I wrote that can change ProDOS
file types every which way. An update will come hopefully soon that will
include recognizing extensions, having the program zip through the whole
batch of files and setting the file types all by itself, and printing out
catalog listings.

Look for something called 'AppleScript Collection.'

If it says that, then don't open it because it means the file doesn't have
a resource fork, and opening it will add one (which isn't what you want).
