     An 800k RAM disk is a great way to save time in all sorts of ways. Our
IIgs has had an 800k /RAM5 set up for years.
 
     Making a disk copy to /RAM5 is easy under the Finder; and, as you say,
access is much speedier than to a 3.5" diskette.

     The problem with Copy II Plus indicates that you are using version 9.x.
These versions (9.0, 9.1, ...) of Copy II Plus are not compatible with the
standard IIgs RAM disk. This (plus a dangerous CATALOG bug in v9.0) helps to
explain why the 9.x series is generally avoided.

     If you want to use Copy II Plus for 3.5" disk copying, try v7.4 or v8.3.
