What else is on your ethernet network? If you have any Macs with the old 
style Appletalk ports, you can download Localtalk Bridge from Apple for 
free and just plug the GS to the machine running the bridge with 
localtalk cables and it will join into the ethernet network. (This is 
what I do, I have my GS attached to my 6150 running Localtalk Bridge 
which is ethernetted to my iMac. The 17Gig drive from the iMac appears 
on the GS desktop, which always give me a buzz!)

Also you may be interested to know that there is now an ethernet card 
for the GS (and //e), but at present it is a TCPIP device and doesn't 
support Appletalk. (See www.a2central.com for details)
