     One reason for a device to not be recognized is that it powers ON too
slowly to be noticed by RamFAST. Try powering ON the hard disk a few seconds
before turning ON the computer.

     The problems you run into when running your ramfast util (in
ramfast.system) sound different. That is, if the partitions show up, then, they
should be accessible. One reason they may not be is that you are running a
version of ProDOS which can not mount enough volumes to include those added by
the hard disk. Booting ProDOS v2.0.3 (or System 6.0.1 which includes ProDOS
v2.0.3) should help.
