Maybe I don't understand, but why can't an Apple user just get a shell
account like my ISP offers. You just dial in (haven't done it with an
Apple
2 but shouldn't be difficult) and you have a text based Unix shell. From
there you launch Lynx, tin (a nice newsreader, etc. etc.). It's not IE
5.5
but it's still very very nice.

I understand that there is a national ISP called foxvalley.com
which offers shells nationally.
