Re: LANceGS Ethernet Card: First Look
This is great news!
My Apple //GS is still sitting here BUT I very seldom use it now as I
had to "re-allocate" my serial port on my Linux machine, so now my
//GS is isolated, and so not all that useful too me.
After many years of dusting and game play I could really be convinced
to make another //GS purchase. This functionality could breath life
back into my poor'ole Apple.
Please keep the group posted about this. I assume these cards must be
purchased from Germany, international commerce being what it is it
could be a little awkward.
If anyone decides to "distribute" locally (especially here in Canada)
please put my email address on your list as I am definetly interested.
(Even the current functionality level, as described by the article,
could give me another access point to my computer/network that the
kids can use for email.)
Thanks again for posting this, I keep monitoring this group and this
is the first news that has "perked" up my Apple interest in quite some
time! I still can't bring myself to get rid of my equipment though!
I have 3 //GS's (only one set up, with 4Meg, accelerator, SCSI, etc)
and a //c and a //+.
