Network between Mac G3 and Apple IIGS

I'm trying to network between an Apple IIGS and a Mac G3.  I've tried to
go from Modem to Modem using ClarisWorks on my Mac and AppleWorksGS on
my IIGS but I can't get it to work.  If anyone knows of the settings I
should set please let me know.  Also if you know of another way to
transfer files please let me know.  Thanks
