Um, DiskCopy doesn't give a whit what format disks are in since it just
makes images from disks or disks from images. You can use newer versions
to mount images too, which might cure the problem if you mount the IIgs
boot disk, format a ProDOS floppy, then copy the files.

There was a TIL article about this problem once upon a time, but I found
that the most sure fire cure is to use a II to format the disks then do
DiskCopy to put on the image. In general, you're best off formatting
disks for IIs in on a II. Then alignment problems and the like (since
any Apple II floppy will have some mileage on it at this point) don't come
into play.
