I'm stumped, having neither an LC 475 nor a working Quadra 605. And you
said in another message that your LC 475 is running MacOS 7.5.3 and it
allows you to turn off 32-bit addressing.
The last suggestion I have is for you to install MacOS 7.1 and see if that
works.
