Nah, that's religion.   You're entitled to your opinion, but I've decided
filters are the way to go.  I'm blocking a half-dozen  vogon spewers, and
the signal to noise ratio has gone way up.  I noticed you've continued the
dialog with them, all I can say is you've got a longer attention span than
I, my friend.
