Re: Looking for old Mac SE-style mouse
Thanks for all the help you guys but, I've checked the local used PC parts
place and couldn't find one piece of Mac hardware anywhere. Sure, I could
probably *buy* a new ADB (thanks for the version info) mouse but, as I see
it, the machine is only worth about $20... about what a mouse would cost, I
suppose.
Why am I bothering? Well, to tell you the (sad) truth, this is my first Mac!
: )
Like I said, it was given to me. I thought it would be nice for the kids to
play around with since its got a bunch of pretty neat games on it already. I
was amazed at how easy it was to get the system up and running. All it took
was an emergency startup disk (800k!) and I emptied the System folder.
I've been a PC owner from the very beginning (well, at least until all the
software for my trusty Amiga 500 went "clearance". I've checked out Apple's
latest offerings but I just can't justify spending over two grand just to
get a system that will already run comparable software I'm already running.
I came close a couple of times though... thought for sure the latest iMacs
would have a larger monitor or that they'd come out with a product between
the iMac and the G4. I thought the Cube might have been the perfect new toy
until they showed us the sticker price!
I'll keep looking... for a mouse, and at Apple in the future. Thanks for
your help again!
