Small historical note - the very same Congress that passed the Bill of Rights, that very same summer repassed the Northwest territories act (passed under the Articles of Confederation). Said act required the creation of public schools which would teach protestant Christianity. It would seem that the wall of separation that so many talk about wasn't what the Founding Fathers had in mind.
