You should be able to buy an old Toshiba 386 laptop or similiar with a 2.5"
hard disk, and put that on a Focus. I've got a stack of drives I've
scrounged that way. I've also found 4 SCSI controllers in the past year,
but I waste a lot of time searching the galaxy for interesting antique
computers and parts.

You can also use a Mac as a fileserver, and boot the IIgs's from it.
Caveats: I haven't any experience with a Focus, nor Appletalk on the IIgs,
but I've read what experienced users have said.
Good luck,
