I have an ECHO+ card that is in my 64K Apple II+ (and it works just fine). It
not only does speech but can generate sounds and play music.
To get mine to speak I need to first boot the machine with their software and
then I can exit to the OS.
Try this stuff at the prompt to see if it works with yours -
&TALK, "I AM A SPEECH SYNTHESIZER"
this is an example of the phonetics -
&PHN, "! AM @ SP&C SIN)US!Z'R"
If I can help, let me know -
Now, my question to the group is -
Where can I find disc images of a sound program that would let me just type in
notes and output music and also a program that I create and edit sound effects
with. There is a sound editor on the ECHO+ disc but it is lacking a few
features. The instruction book points to third party software yet fails to
give an example. Any clues or vague memories would be welcome as well.
Thanks,
Jim
