Sorry Ernest,
I told you what I know. I couldn't get the school to give it a FREE trial.
Even in 1996, Apple IIs were seen as old technology that Title 1 and
administration didn't want to bother with. Mastery Development did mail me
some general literature and a seven minute video tape presenting their software
and setup, but nothing in the way of software or reference manuals. I did
contact them to try and buy just the network versions of some of their
programs, but they wouldn't sell them separately. Maybe now that they've all
but cancelled their Apple II support, I'll give them another try.
I'm in the process (where can one find the time?) of setting up a DigiCard
network system at school, partly so I don't have to go searching for disks so
often (I teach grades K through 5 all day), partly to make certain that I have
an archive of MECC A2 software for the day when the 5.25" floppies no longer
boot, partly for the "gee-whiz" factor, and partly to copy the system at
another school while it's still set up for me to model after.

<< Thanks for the information, Jay. Is there anything that I can use these
cards for then? I have a set of two cards, with the matching printer card
(that doesn't have an output plug??)
Are you using these cards at your school? Do you have any software or
reference manuals that you could sell to me?
