The IIgs has a 16-bit processor with 24-bit address space, the
ability to address 8MB of memory, available high-speed SCSI
cards and VGA graphics.

Why haven't I heard anything about a Unix-alike for the IIgs?

I know the register architecture of the 65816 is kind of
limited, but there are multitasking OS's for the C= 8-bits...
why not the II?
