Re: Quadram Quadlink
I picked up one about 10 years ago. I was in a computer junk store
looking for some cheap RAM for Apple II cards when I looked over and
saw it on a shelf. Clerk didn't know what it was or what to charge but
seemed happy to take $10. Came with the docs but no disks.
It was the same store that I got a IIc LCD from for $10. About a dozen
years ago they had picked up a huge number of IIgs's that were used in
a defunct video rental store. I borrowed a philips screwdriver and
opened every one of them. They all had rev A, B or C SCSI cards and
printer cards. Otherwise they were pretty bare ROM 0 or ROM 01 IIgs's.
As it happened, the first one I opened had a memory card in it so I
thought I might find interesting things in the rest but no such luck.
Still, $30 for a machine with the SCSI card was a pretty good deal.
Did talk the clerk into $20 for just the cards but the owner showed up
just as I was paying for half a dozen cards and nixed the deal.
