The other media types appear as different LUNs on the same SCSI ID. Not sure if any of the Apple SCSI cards understand logical units. It was a seldom-used feature of the SCSI standard. 

The PCMCIA is mapped to LUN 0, which is almost always the only active position.
Amiga hard-disk prep has options for LUNs, but that's about the only place I've seen it.
