Penman got this one right: you have a serious over-reacting
problem.
You cut valuable people out of your mail group because
SOMEONE ELSE
posted it to some web site. You stop selling AppleWorks
because
someone MIGHT post it on a pirate site. What's next?
Killing your
neighbor's cat because your other neighbor's dog pooped on
your lawn?

Mates, Turley, Cadieux, the list goes on. *WE* wonder what
it is
about the Apple II that attracts so many socially
maladjusted people.

Clue for Beverly: If someone is ready to pay you for a
used copy of
Appleworks, that means he respects its copyright and won't
put it up
on a public site. Conversely, those who want to get
Appleworks for
free know where to get it. In other words, your decision
to stop
selling legal copies of Appleworks inconveniences potential
legal
buyers (who might turn to piracy), and does not matter a
whit to
pirates.

'Course, you get to decide whether you continue selling AW
or not,
*WE* are not arguing with that. *WE* are telling you the
reason
you gave above is bullshit.
