Oh Bev, you are such a control freak.

If someone downloads a copy of Appleworks from an
FTP site instead of buying a used copy off of you
(assuming you'll ALLOW them the privilege of buying it
off you!).... guess what? The publisher and developers
aren't getting hurt by that. They have already made all
the money from that program that they will EVER make.
The only person getting hurt by that so-called "piracy" is
the sucker who has collected piles of used disks in her
closet.

If I want to play with Crossword Magic 2.0 from 1981,
I'm surely not going to wait for it to show up on eBay or
post a wanted-to-buy ad here. I'll download it. L&S
Computerware -- the entity being protected by copyright
-- would not suffer any financial loss by my
downloading it because they haven't been in business
for YEARS.

Please, enough of your posturing on piracy. You and
QC have both become quite tiresome.

It's a wonder you manage to make any money at all
considering how you limit your "market" the way you do.
I couldn't believe you passed up the free publicity on
A2Central.com that Eric offered when you announced
your disk of the month or whatever it was. Sheesh, it's
one thing to take all your toys and go home, but when
you're in "business" (and I use that term loosely in your
case) to sell your toys, then declining free advertising
because of some silly grudge match is just shooting
yourself in the foot.
