Airport and Nortel HIghspeed modem

I used to have a cable modem.  I could share the modem between my pc and my
imac with airport.  The cable company changed their system such that they
had to recognize the id on my network card thereby disabling my ability to
use airport.

I switched to a highspeed Bell server using a NOrtel modem.  It works great.
But when I tried to use the airport to link my imac to the modem I can't
seem to get it to work.

If I set it up with Airport DHCP I get a regognition of contact with the ISP
server but I can't connect.  If I use the ppp protocal that come with the
Bell software I get nothing.

Can anyone help!
