Mike,
Check the startup slot setting in the control panel by pressing
command(open apple)-ctrl-esc. Select slots & set the startup slot to the
slot that the Q-drive is plugged in to. Or set it to slot 6 to boot a
5.25" drive or slot 5 to boot a 3.5" disk. You can also set it to scan
for a boot disk. You may need a new battery for the IIGS, which saves the
time & control panel settings, while the IIGS is off.
