Hmmm.....how to answer this politely?  :)

Tom has been associated with most of the sites on the
internet that have ignored at one time or another,
copyrights for software subsequently uploaded.  I know
of at least one ISP that terminated his account because
of these activities.  He keeps telling us he's reformed,
but we keep having the same problems.  Some of us try and
support the work of the few people around who either still
write software, or work to get it reclassified.  Others try
and convince people that if a copyright holder doesn't
complain, it's ok to post still-copyrighted material.
I'd say that if you give him ftp space, you do so at your
own risk.  (And I'll bet The Kitty will be along soon
to fill in the gaps of what I left out.  :) )
