I just aquired in an old IIe a I?O card that says:
VELAN APS
Rev C
It has an 16450 pc type serial chip, a ROM, and the usual support
chips. It does not have a speaker or a line transformer that you
usually see on modems, but it did have a 4 wire connection to a phone
type RJ-11 plug. I have the socket, but the wires were pulled off the
board.
Is it a modem? Or soemthing else?
