No, a IIe doesn't have a modem port. They don't even come with a serial
port, so to use an external modem, you need to find an Apple II serial card,
like a Super Serial card, off of Ebay or some place like that. The other
option, with a serial card, is to hook the two computers up using a couple
of modem cables, and a null modem adapter. Then, find a Communication
program like ProTerm, or Zlink, etc., and then you can do a file transfer.
I'll warn you though, from experience, it can be a real pain in the neck to
set this kind of transfer up.
The other alternative is to find a go-between system, that can read 5.25
apple disks, and transfer the files to a 3.5 disk that the Mac can read. You
would need some special software on the Mac, I believe, like PC exchange (?)
but you would need to ask a Mac person about that.
