hmmmm..a lot of //e cards were sold that broke the 64k
Both Checkmate and AE had a 1 meg card that could be
expanded, and the RamWorks III card could theoretically
be expanded to 16 meg, tho I only saw 2 meg expanders
available.  Also, before they closed down, Quality
Computers developed and sold a 1-meg card that, like the
above, worked out of the aux. slot.  Quite a few programs
touted themselves as taking advantage of extra memory, but
two that come to mind that people might still be using
are AppleWorks which you mentioned, and ProTerm, which
uses the larger memory for the built-in editor.

1 meg sounds small these days, doesn't it?  :)
