Tom, you would make almost three people happy by doing this; I say almost
three because two of them secretly take advantage of the resources that you
mentioned, and only complain because they have nothing better to do. That
leaves one control freak who would be beside themselves with joy because
they got their way, at everyone else's expense. You know the saying, "it
only takes one control freak to spoil it for everyone."

I think that there are many people in this group, and others who don't even
know about this group yet, who would agree with me when I say that I'm glad
that you (and other helpful people like you) are here to help the rest of us
figure out how to do something with our Apple II's. You've been very helpful
to me, and I'm glad that you are here, and I'm glad that there are sources
of free software for me to enjoy.

I don't lose any sleep if a hand full of egocentric controlling types are
distressed that a few FTP sites might be distributing software that "they"
are trying to keep the rest of us from enjoying. Try to keep it in
perspective, Man, because no matter what you do, there are always going to
be people who don't like it, and they will wail and howl, gnash their teeth
and pull at their hair like it's the most important thing ever but so what.
That's what the mail filter is for.

You do what you do because you enjoy it -not for profit, and not for power.
You offer something useful, that's needed and appreciated, and you do it for
free. I'm happy that you do it, and I wish that you could hear all the
whispers of gratitude over the din of a few squeaking wheels.
