I can only guess. I think it depends on the cpu's speed. The 486DX chip
had several versions. In this case, GS emulation would be very slow due
to the complexities of implementation even at 100 mhz.
I run ApplePC on a laptop I own that runs a 486DX 50 mhz. On this system
the emulator runs about 4 mhz and GS emulation is not practical.
There is still the problem of porting Kegs to a 68040 Linux system.
