I know the feeling. :-)

Actually, SIS can be used through a direct TCP/IP connection now if
you use the alpha TCP/IP library Geoff Weiss released a good while
back. You can download images and files from web pages as long as
they are accessed through an http URL and not an ftp one.
Unfortunately, those screen shots are available via FTP so you can't
use SIS to download them.
Also, FTP has been available for even longer. In fact, gwftp came out
shortly after Marinetti v2.0 which was released in the summer of 1998.
Both the alpha TCP/IP library for SIS and gwftp are available from the
Apple II Forum library on Delphi and I know that at least gwftp (not
sure about the alpha library) is available on a two disk internet
software set from Shareware Solutions II. Maybe you could place an
order for this disk set at the same time you order SAM.

When Joe first posted that URL for the screen shots, I fired up SIS
with the alpha TCP/IP library and went to his site. That's when I
discovered it was an FTP link so I quit SIS and started gwftp and
downloaded the archive with that. I then unpacked the screenshots
using GSHK and then viewed them.

Joe has already posted that he will be doing so.

There are no programs that I know of for viewing SHR graphics on the
PC but that wouldn't be too hard to fix.
To unpack ShrinkIt archives, whether they are in a Binary II wrapper
or not, there is NuLib2 which is available from:

See above about the TCP/IP update for SIS.
I too also look forward to seeing what Kim can do with Arachnid.

You should be able to see it yourself real soon. It does look good
and I have yet to order it myself because I'm kind of strapped for
cash at present. However, I might order it in a week or two after I
make a payment to the credit card I'll be using to order it.
