Monitors are just TVs without tuners. ;-)

If by "skewing", you mean that the raster is rotated somewhat, you must
open the case, loosen the yoke, and rotate it slightly until the raster is
properly aligned.  Then gently re-tighten the yoke clamp. 

If you're uncomfortable working inside a CRT monitor, have someone do it
for you.
