You really lucked out! If you have a ROM 3, the 2MB card will provide you
with a comfortable 3 and a bit MB. The ZIP drive (gee, this should be a
FAQ) tends to go to sleep after a while if you're using an Apple SCSI card
unless you have the Tulin Technologies driver. I understand that RAMfast
cards avoid that problem. Heaven knows about CMS ones!
A second-hand store down the street sells IBM-brand 160MB hard drive
mechanisms for $10 CDN ... something like that would probably be the most
problem-free solution for you.
