Hello to the newsgroup:
I have been lurking and learning much from the discussions, and now have two
questions that possible someone can help me with:
I am putting a IIe card in a Mac LCII, so I can use some old software from
my Apple II+ that I bought new in 1981.
1. What 5.25 floppy drive will work with the IIe card? I have an external
5.25 drive from my IIc and would use that one if it is compatible.
2. What is the fastest LC motherboard and CPU combination that will still
allow the IIe card to work?
I was contemplating replacing the logicboard with a 475 and using a 68040
CPU (25 or 33 MHz) instead of the LC version.
I know that this is somewhat of a Mac question, but since it is predicated
on a desire to make the IIe card work, I hope folks will not be too hard on
me ;-))
