--> Not my business; however, why not just send ONE image as an
    attachement via email to this helpful person - so he can see
    if anything can be done, or not; B4 going ahead and flooding
    him with a bunch of files? A test on one, at random, will
    answer the question just as well as `all'. If it does work
    (ie: he can successfully convert them to some other format)
    then the rest can be done. But, if it doesn't work; then
    you won't have stuffed his mailbox with files he'll only
    have to delete, anyway. Just an idea . . .
