I collect old Mac and Apple equipment as a hobby. I've recently come into
possession of a Sanyo DM5012CM monitor -- it's small and cubical, beige on
the top and sides, with a black-and-white tube about twelve or thirteen
inches diagonal, and below the display is a panel which opens to provide
access to the monitor's adjustment dials.
I was going to donate it to Goodwill, but a friend of mine says that this
was a very popular Apple II monitor in its day. If it is a very typical
Apple II monitor, that would make it a good collector's piece for me, but if
it doesn't have very strong ties to Apple memorabilia, then I have no need
of it in my collection. Can anyone let me know whether this monitor has any
special history, or is it just another old black-and-white display?
