I had a similar problem, caused by bad ram in the high 64k location as it
would only appear during 128k operation.  Programs using only 48k and 64k
didn't exhibit this problem.  Using the self-test, you should be able to
find out the exact ones that are bad, providing you do not have a version
255 IIc, which had a non-functional self-test.
