I have 2 motherboards that contain the rom. That is all that is legally
required to run the emulator. I did extract my Rom images for Bernie
from these boards myself. One is a Rom 01 that I removed from an
upgraded Woz (the person who bought it from me preferred a WOZ
with a Rom 3 motherboard). The other is a Rom 3 that was purchased
as a spare from Alltech years ago. Eventually these motherboards will
end up in a tower case. I have a Blue Disk controller to eventually
hook up the built in MFM floppy, but I doubt it will ever get used. I have
no plans to ever use a floppy disk again.
Btw, I'm not complaining that I can't get Spectrum, I really don't need it.
Joe was just sighing that no one responded to his announcement and
I am just the "little bird" whispering into developers ears that
someday emulators are going to outnumber real apple II's
and this should be accounted for in their marketing plan. Those
developers/distributors that don't give a hoot may not sell
anymore II software. MyEysores is essentially out of the II
market except to liquidate their remaining stock, apparently.
Companies, like SSII and the Byte Works are still actively
supporting the Apple II market (small as it is).

No, I just will not ever buy anything from them ever again. If
Earl prefers to "liquidate existing supplies" without having
to attach a file to an email, well, he'll just have to find one
additional buyer. I can see you are a programmer and not
a business analyst, Jeff :o) They can live without a sale and
I can live without Spectrum. It's their choice, however.
Customer service is an important business concept. When
Seven Hills was supporting the Apple II their customer
service was good. Now that they aren't supporting the
Apple II losing one sale doesn't bother them. I am sure
the Byte Works is just as busy working for clients in other
markets as MyEysores is but they have no qualms about
putting in an effort to make a sale. THAT is customer
service and that is who will get my business.

I can live without Spectrum. They can live without selling me
anything. Their choice. Unfortunately for SSII, Joe will not
get a sale either.
>By the way, this too was not a flame.
If I ever saw a flame from you I'd suspect it a forgery ;o)
