You shouldn't believe everything Hitler said -- he also claimed to be
a bringer of peace and freedom, and by that he won the election in
Germany around 1933. Shortly afterwards he removed freedom from
Germany, and some years later he removed peace from Europe.
If Hitler was a left-winger, why did he imprison not only jews,
gypsies and homosexuals but also socialists and communists?

On the other hand, liberals also believe in private property and
private enterprise as the engine for everything -- that makes them
right wing. And overall this makes them middle wing. But of course
that perspective may appear alien to US citizens, who live where
almost the entire country is right wing....

I guess we got carried away when discussing whether it was ethical
or not to distribute copies of that "Red Book" for the Apple II... :-)
