I use a US spec IIGS here in the UK on a 220/110V transformer.
Everything works fine and it is worth it for me as I bought a system,
monitor, SCSI and Kensington System Saver, all of which are 110V. A
cheaper solution for a system unit alone would be to make up a Steve
Buggie style power supply using a PC AT PSU. (Be careful with the
voltages that you supply to the pins on the IIGS board!)
