Re: What if..........About an A2 Screen Saver
That would be so cool! I'm of the opinion that leaving a system running
(within reason) is more healthy for it than turning it on and off all the
time, especially when it comes to older computers.
How do these screen savers work? Do the SS's become part of the boot disk
(I'm using a dual floppy system) or do I need to get a hard drive? I have
found a SCSI card, with a 40meg external hard drive for $60 that I'm picking
up this weekend but a lot of the software that I have is DOS 3.3. Will I
still be able to use a screen saver?
Also, as pathetic as it sounds, I still haven't figured out how to convert
.SDK files that I download on my WinPC to usable diskettes for my Apple IIe,
which is sad because there are so many useful .SDK images out there but I
can't use them yet.
Is there any way that you could save these .SDK images as .DSK images also,
for us newbies?
Or could you offer me some advice, or point me to a faq that explains how to
convert .SDK files on my PC to useable diskettes? I'm having the same
problem with .SHK (shrinkit) files to.
Thanks for your help.
