Dear Dean Jeff,
Thanks for your very proper reply concerning MuMath, etc. - all of that was
just fine and certainly clarified your first post on the subject. :)
As to the following comment of yours in your posted reply:
<<By the way, the fact that GS Numerics isn't available from the Trenco
archive speaks volumes to me as to its status.>>
Here's my reply on that: Like I stated, it HAS been reclassified by its
author from commercial status to freeware status for distribution without any
restrictions. I was in error when I stated that I had uploaded it to gno.org
(Trenco). Actually, I don't think I ever did.
And, after reading your above comment - I see no reason to bother with
uploading it to that site either. I've NEVER uploaded anything to the gno.org
(Trenco) site that was not completely proper and legal - in every respect. If
the Adm. of gno.org decides not to release an archive to public access - that's
his decision.
BTW, I've located another Beagle Bros. title "Power Print'.
It's a freeware release and has been a freeware release for
many, many years now. It's been overlooked and I just located
it in the AOL A2 archive library, with clear notice that it WAS
freeware. I've added it to my own web site - in the Apr2000 issue
of GS WorldView and the Beagle.Bros.Oldies folder. I also
uploaded it to our Apple2 ftp site 'Ground'. It's now cleared as a
freeware release and is available for public access and download
from Ground.
Ref. URL for program archive and freeware/upload notice:
ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/upl2000/Apr/POWERPRINT.SHK
ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/upl2000/Apr/POWERPRINT.SHK.TXT
After reading the 'Status' text file of the gno.org site, I conclude they
don't have the time or desire to deal with any uploads other than those
obtained from the Apple2 Delphi archives. To the best of my knowledge, neither
the Apple2 Delphi archives or gno.org have the Beagle Bros. freeware 'Power
Print' program and archive - available for public access and download.
So, I guess if anybody wants the Beagle Bros. freeware 'Power Print' program
and archive - they can download it from the above 'Official public Apple2 ftp
site' - as noted above. Of course - if you have an AOL account and know how to
access their Apple2 archives - you can also download it from AOL.
Cheers,
Tom
